Frequently Asked Questions

When does the next intake start?

We have three intakes a year: January, May and September. Applications are open year-round, but apply at least 2-3 weeks before the intake date for smooth registration.

Diplomas: SPM with at least 3 credits including Bahasa Melayu and Sejarah (for SPM holders from 2013 onward), or equivalent.

Bachelor degrees: STPM (2 principals) / A-Level / Matriculation or Foundation (CGPA 2.00) / UEC (5 Grade B) / or a relevant Diploma for Year 2 credit transfer.

Once we receive your complete application, we typically review and respond within 5-7 working days. If documents are missing we will contact you to follow up.

Are there scholarships or study loans available?

Yes — talk to our admissions office about merit-based scholarships, PTPTN study loans, and MyBrainSc eligibility. Each application is assessed individually based on academic performance and need.

Yes. International applicants need equivalent qualifications (IGCSE / A-Level / IB / national high school diploma) and basic English proficiency. Contact admissions for visa and document guidance.

If you hold a diploma in business, accounting, marketing or a related field, you may transfer into Year 2 of our Bachelor (Hons) programmes. Each credit transfer is reviewed individually by our academic team.

Things To Know First

The Common Application is required for students applying to any or all of KU’s three degree. You’ll be able to choose your campus and program s that you are interested.

Documents you will need

  • Completed application form (online or in person)
  • Certified copies of your academic results (SPM / STPM / UEC / Diploma)
  • Copy of NRIC or passport (for international applicants)
